🚒🚒🚒 First dragon boat race of the season! We had a blast at Burnwater basking in the sun, and seeing all the teams come together for the start of race season. With the next race in less than a month, we’re eager to keep training and pushing to new limits🔥

Congratulations to all the winning teams across all divisions and to those who hit a new time, and new paddlers getting to experience their first race! These are amazing feats ☺️

A: We will be meeting inside Creekside Community Centre where all the comfy chairs are located!

Q: Do I need experience in paddling?
A: We recommend you have at least 1 year of experience to join.

During the last week of August, Firetruck flew across the ocean to Busan, South Korea for the second time. Not only did most of our core team members go, but a couple additions consisting of .current, , alumni, and a retired paddler joined us as well.

With only two months spent together, Firetruck pulled through the humidity, heat and sweat to earn 2nd place in both the mixed and opens heats. If that wasn’t enough water time, 3 of our paddlers took top 5 in the SUP races! So, congrats to Derek, Alex B, and Alex H. Enjoy those ginseng packets.

A shoutout and congratulations to all the other international teams that showed up! It was an honour to paddle alongside you and the energy at closing ceremony was impeccable.

And another huge thanks and appreciation to our interpreter for staying by our side and giving us the energy to fight 🫶🫶
