The picture on the left is me coming out of lockdown back in 2020, I had just arrived in Canada 1 year before leaving my hometown in Mexico and I didn't know what to do whether to stay in Canada or go back to Mexico, at that time it felt like the restrictions were going to last for a long time.
Demotivated, not able to work or workout at a gym, going through College over Zoom, and practically having almost no human interaction. I knew what I had to do but I couldn't take action, I was feeling trapped and honestly, I thought I wouldn't be able to get back in shape.
Now, the picture on the right represents a huge accomplishment. 4 months ago, I moved to another Country and decided that I needed to recommit to my fitness goals, I know I always feel my best when I take care of myself.
I'm proud of how far I've come and how much I've accomplished. I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident than ever before.
Looking back, I realize that it's not about where you start, but where you're headed. It's about taking control of your life and making positive changes, no matter how difficult it may seem. With determination, discipline, and a little creativity, anything is possible.
If you're feeling stuck, know that you're not alone. Believe in yourself, take that first step, and see where it takes you. You'll be surprised at how far you can go.

How Health Is Measured
This can’t be stressed enough…

You’ve heard the advice: Drink 8 cups of water a day.
But it is true… for everyone?
Here’s the thing: How much water YOU personally need depends on your…
✅ Age
✅ Body size
✅ Overall health
✅ Activity level
In other words, you might need more than 8 glasses—or fewer—I always tell my clients to drink 60% of their bodyweight in oz per day as a starting point.
Use this chart to figure out whether you’re hydrated or not.

When it comes to dealing with , each of us has a unique “recovery zone”, whether that’s physical or psychological, and our recovery zone depends on several factors.
👆Generally, the recovery zone looks like the image above.
⬇️ If the stressor is too low — not enough to cause a reaction — then nothing will happen. You’ll go along the same as before, no better or worse.
⬆️ If the stressor is too high — too strong, and/or lasts too long, outpacing your recovery ability — then you’ll eventually break down.
☺️ If the stressor is within your recovery zone — neither too much nor too little, and doesn’t last too long — then you’ll recover from it and get better.
🎢 That optimum zone depends on your allostatic load (aka the stuff we're dealing with all at once), as well as how you perceive and respond to it. Remember, this is your individual stress zone — nobody else’s.
📈 To lead a healthy, productive, and fulfilling life, you must learn to manage your allostatic load.
✨ Some activities you can do to immediately boost your body's happy chemicals, activate your “rest and digest” nervous system, and start building your stress resilience include:
• a relaxing walk (especially outside);
• getting moderate sunshine;
• mindfulness practice and meditation;
• having s*x (seriously); and
• snuggling a loved one or pet.

Yes, nutrition is often confusing, uncertain, and hotly debated.
But these principles are indisputable – and often transformative.

📝These days, there’s a lot of emphasis on setting goals (e.g. losing 20 pounds) and then following a program (e.g. a diet plan) to achieve those goals.
🎯 When it comes to goals, we’re taught to think about what we want to accomplish. Then we’re supposed to
make the goal specific, measurable, attainable, etc.
🤷 What happens once we’ve done all that? When we’ve set the ultimate goal?
😕 For most people, not much.
🙅 That’s because goals aren’t achieved through the mere act of setting them. And goals aren’t achieved through
sheer force of will.
💥 Based on my experience, success actually follows a different process. The formula pretty much looks like this:
1. Practice daily to build skills.
2. Build skills to achieve goals.
🥊 Some people call this approach habit-based, others call it practice-based.
🔑🔑 This approach is progressive and helps people build transferable skills while stair-stepping their way to
real, *sustainable* change.
🙃What habit(s) are YOU working on this week?
