It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our fellow SWBL player, Jarica Russell in a vehicular accident this morning. We wish speedy recoveries for her husband Chris and their two young children while extending our deepest condolences to their families.

Join us tomorrow night Oct 5th at 5:55pm as we honour Jarica with a moment of silence and warrior song before her Hoops I Did It Again team plays Fantastic Four. Donations to help the family with funeral arrangements will be collected at the scoretable for the next week.

The Edmonton Grads finally get their own Heritage Minute - Sportsnet.ca Canada's most iconic basketball team, the Edmonton Grads, are finally getting their very own Heritage Minute.

Support a great cause and work off that holiday food comatose at the same time!

Physio Room is celebrating their 5th year anniversary with a 3-on-3 bball tournament and dribbling clinic by Joey 'King Handles' Haywood.

$10 per player, with all proceeds going to back to the basketball community (Basketball BC Youth Programs). With the entrance fee, all participants will get food, drinks, and a sweet Physio Room shirt made exclusively for this event! If you're interested let me know!

Game times: 10 minutes long

Thunderbirds make triumphant return at Americas Masters Games Forty years after dominating Canadian women's basketball, five Thunderbird stars return to the War Memorial Gym hardwood.

Congratulations to the Die Hards (aka Generation Gap) on their gold medal win over the Brisbane Blazers from Australia in the 60+ women's 5x5 at the Americas Masters Games 2016! This incredible group of women are true inspirations and pioneers in our game - you're looking at former UBC CIS Champions, national players and educators of young minds!

Women's drop-in is back on at Strathcona tonight 6-8pm. Women's league will start up Sept 17th.
