UBC Shotokan Karate Club We are the UBC Shotokan Karate Club, part of Canada Shotokan Karate and affiliated with SKA.
We practice traditional martial arts with a focus on striking techniques and strong mental toughness. Practice is at the Student Rec Center Studio, Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Those interested can pay a drop in fee, or register for the course, at the SRC front desk.

Congratulations to Anne for her 2nd place finish at the Shotokan Ohshima tournament in southern France!

On March 30th our team of 5 took a little trip to Seattle to participate in the Goodwill Cup tournament with the University of Washington.
Congradulations to Mikayla, Joyce, Anne, Kaj and Margaret for winning the team tournament and special congradulations to Anne for winning the womens tournament.
Finally, thank you to Shotokan Karate members at the University of Washington for welcoming us and giving us a hard time.
