Sport Hosting Vancouver is a small and mighty team that works with many partners to attract major sporting events to the City of Vancouver. From community and industry leaders and influencers to grassroots involvement and integration. Once secured, we work closely with events to ensure meaningful and purposeful local engagement is established to add to the social and cultural fabric of our community.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager who knows how to tell a story and is passionate about creating moments that unite communities around collective event experiences. Vancouver’s capacity to host the world continues to grow, and we are looking for new ideas and energy to take the next step with us.

FIFA has confirmed today that Vancouver has been chosen as an official host city for the FIFA World Cup 2026, a once in a generation opportunity to support the tourism sector and to put the global spotlight on beautiful British Columbia! ⚽️

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be the largest ever held, and the first to feature 48 teams playing in 80 matches jointly hosted across three countries. This tournament gets the attention of billions of people globally every four years, and all eyes will be on B.C. in 2026.

The FIFA World Cup here in Vancouver will give everyone a chance to celebrate and dream, inspiring the next generation of players while leaving a lasting impact on Canadian soccer and our community.
