BCWSA Athletes on Tour

Thomas Venos has won another Men's Doubles title on the UNIQLO World Wheelchair Tennis Tour! Partnering with Connor Stroud (USA), Thomas defeated the Japanese duo of Keito Nagaro and Iori Terada in a 3-set thrilling tie-break to claim the title.

This brings Thomas' total to 6 (4 Doubles and 2 Singles) titles on tour in 2026.

Thomas was also a finalist in Men's Singles, battling through to the final before falling to his Doubles' partner.

Other BCWSA athletes in action at the Sure Grip International Open were Barry Henderson, Patrick Levis and Se-Youn Moon.

That concludes the Canadian tournaments on this year's World Tour. The focus shifts to the Birmingham National Wheelchair Championships - November 12-15 at UBC Tennis Centre!

We had an incredible time at last weekend's 55th Anniversary Celebration, bringing together our community and celebrating the many incredible people, moments and stories that make up our first 55 years.

At the event, we also unveiled our brand-new BCWSA Hall of Fame and inducted a large group of phenomenal athletes and pivotal builders who have many tremendous contributions to their sport and BCWSA at large. Thank You and congratulations to all of our inductees from across many sports and decades.

We are full of gratitude for everyone who has played a part in turning BC Wheelchair Sports into what it is today. Our past has shaped our present and will help form our future!

The Fall Season of our MultiSport Recreational Program starts up on Wednesday, October 14 at Sunset Community Centre in Vancouver and we're tipping it off with a Have-A-Go Day and social gathering.

Come on out and meet peers and BCWSA staff, try out different sports and learn about the program and how you can join in weekly.

BCWSA Athletes on Tour
BC Wheelchair Tennis Athletes are competing on the East Coast this week at the WC50 Bedford in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

Se-Youn Moon, Barry Henderson, Patrick Levis and Thomas Venos have all been in action over the past two days, and Thomas Venos is through to the Men's Singles and Doubles finals.

With the 2026 Birmingham Nationals just over a month away at UBC Tennis Centre, BC athletes are getting ready with a few final international tournaments before Nationals tip-off on November 12.

Our Multisport Program at Sunset Recreation Centre starts back up next month and we're hosting an exciting Have-A-Go Day to kick off the fall sessions.
