Another one for Mitch as he wins his fifth straight title in Salem!
RESULTS FROM THE WC50 PACIFIC NORTHWEST SECTIONAL WHEELCHAIR TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP, SALEM (OR), AUGUST 6 -9, ITF 50 SERIES EVENT
QUAD SINGLES OPEN - ROUND ROBIN 3
Mitch McIntyre (Vancouver, BC) def. Steve Baxter (USA) 6/0 6/4
WOMENS SINGLES OPEN - ROUND ROBIN 3
Anne Marie Dolinar (Deep River, ON) def. Ashley Sisti (USA) 2/6 7/5 6/2
MITCH MCINTYRE: “Really happy to come through this tournament undefeated and take home my fifth consecutive title. I was able to avenge a tough loss and beat a very solid player who got the better of me earlier this year. I learned from that match and was able to make the right adjustments this time around. I kept that momentum through the final without dropping a set. Overall, I’m proud of the way I competed here in Salem. Looking forward to some recovery time and then getting right back to business in Toronto. It’ll be a great opportunity to test myself against a strong draw with top 25 players.”
