As part of Britannia’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, drop by for two hands-on activities where you can make something small, meaningful, and uniquely yours.

Create your own button pin with local artists throughout the afternoon and evening. Each artist will bring their own style and approach, so you can try different ways to make a wearable keepsake.

🧡 Celebrate 50 years of Britannia at the 55+ Centre!

As part of Britannia’s 50th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, June 5, the 55+ Centre will be full of memories, music, and community connection throughout the day.

Drop by to explore a special exhibit featuring old photographs, memories, and moments from Britannia’s past, then stay for some classic community fun:

🎲 Intergenerational Bingo at 4:00pm

Everyone is welcome (even the young’ns) to come celebrate, reminisce, sing along, and connect across generations.

June is National Indigenous History Month and a time to honour the histories, cultures, resilience, and ongoing contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

At Britannia, we are grateful to gather on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. This month reminds us to continue listening, learning, and making space for Indigenous voices, stories, and leadership in our community.

Join us on June 21 for our National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration at Grandview Park. The day will include cultural performances, an Indigenous market, community gathering, and opportunities to celebrate, connect, and learn together.

Step inside our learning environment and discover how early childhood education can be so much more than childcare. At Britannia Child Care, we cultivate spaces where children are seen as capable, curious, and full of potential. Through meaningful relationships, collaborative inquiry, and creative exploration, children think together, wonder together, and grow alongside their peers, educators, pedagogists, and atelieristas.

This immersive experience will showcase children's ideas, projects, and learning journeys across all four centres while offering a glimpse into how our pedagogical practice supports children's growth, identity, belonging, and becoming.
