Lots of fun the last couple of weeks with 5 ladies and Tara from joining us for a women's crew in Penticton for OC6 races on Saturday, May 16th. Jane and Trish raced OC2 the next day, capping off the weekend with well deserved wine tastings in beautiful wine country! This past weekend was the Jericho Iron, where a women's crew raced the short course in the spec category, while a mixed crew raced the long in our beloved Hydra. Great times all around! Big big kudos go to and for the organizing of the fantastic races!

Volunteers still needed for unloading boats on Friday May 8th (5-7PM), and on Sunday May 10th (Mother's Day), for the Canadian National Sprint Championships at Burnaby Lake. Free food and lots of gratitude provided. Email [email protected] if you can help out.

Compound cleanup day on Saturday April 18th from 11:30-2:30. Board! Board! Board! Super fun race with varied distances for all levels of paddlers out of beautiful Deep Cove on May 9th. OC's, surf skis, kayaks, SUP's and more are welcome. Great atmosphere and draw prizes galore. Who's in?

Board The Fjord returns to Deep Cove on May 9 with 14 km, 7 km, and 4 km courses! Open to SUPs, kayaks, surfskis, and other self-powered watercraft, this event is a fun community race for paddlers of all levels.

Congratulations to the VOS crews who raced the Takapuna Beach Cup in New Zealand this weekend! They battled tough conditions to make it out the other side with smiles on their faces and many memories to share! Proud of you all!

WetDashe fun in Victoria with the VOS crew rounded out by Jericho Shakabuku paddlers last weekend. Squishing seven grown adults into a 2 bedroom place felt like university shenanigans all over again but with a 10PM bedtime. Excellent, well run race by ! One of our new favourites for sure. Not only did we have a great time in Victoria, we raised $1160 for the Wetdashe Men's Heath Fund managed by the BC Cancer Foundation.

Had a blast at our inaugural Halloween Spooky Paddle last night! Beautiful night, fun lights, hilarious costumes, and lots of laughs with amazing teammates! Join us next year!!!
