What a fantastic weekend at the 5th Annual Club Leaders Conference in beautiful Courtenay, BC!

It was so valuable to come together with leaders from across the adaptive snowsports community to connect, collaborate, share ideas, and continue building a stronger future for our sport. From thoughtful conversations to meaningful learning opportunities, the weekend was filled with energy, inspiration, and community.

A huge thank you to Vancouver Island Adaptive Snowsports (VISAS) for co-hosting this year’s conference and for your incredible hospitality throughout the weekend. We’re so grateful for your partnership and support in bringing everyone together.

What an incredible way to wrap up the season. This weekend was filled with inspiration, laughter, meaningful connections, and so many unforgettable moments on the slopes. From shared challenges to big breakthroughs, it was amazing to see everyone show up, support one another, and push their limits.

BCAS staff are leading training sessions for Fernie Adaptive volunteers. Congratulations to Steve Fairbairn on receiving the CADS Instructor of the Year award! 🎉👏

Thank you to our friends at for the generous support of $5,000 to purchase a snow yak! We are excited to get more people playing on the mountain with our new snow yak! ❄️⛷️

Back when Susan Hughes was our Executive Director, her husband, Scott, then Snow School director at Cypress, stepped up to coach our small but mighty race team, helping launch what became the DSABC Disabled Ski Team.

Scott continued to give back to BCAS for years as a CSIA trainer, Summit facilitator, and constant source of encouragement.

Scott passed away on January 2nd and will be deeply missed. 💙
