Wrapped up our Holiday Hoops series today with the perfect run.

3 teams, well balanced, competitive games, and plenty of play time for everyone (no long “sit two games and question your life choices” breaks). Love seeing so many familiar faces back, and awesome meeting a bunch of new people too.

What a start to the new year.

Tonight’s run was unreal, full 20, great balance between teams, and the pace stayed high from start to finish. Tons of play time for everyone and a lot of solid, competitive hoops. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a good one.

Two nights into our PPS Holiday Runs 2025/26 series, and already some great runs. Lots of familiar faces, good vibes, and high-paced, competitive basketball all around.

Holiday runs are back. For anyone who swore they would “rest a bit” but somehow ends up lacing up anyway, PPS is running a full series of 8 pickup sessions at Sunset Community Centre, sponsored by Ironwood Notary, between December 22 to January 3.

📍 Location : Sunset Community Centre, Vancouver
📅 Dates : December 22, 23, 26, 29, 30 + Jan 1, 2 and 3!
⏰ Time : 2 hours of non-stop basketball action (see each event for details!)

Same format as always, open to all genders and skill levels. Each session caps at 20 players, split into 4 teams of 5, with rebalancing if needed. Games are quick full court to 11 (1s and 2s) or 10 minutes, whatever hits first. Winning team stays on for a max of 2 games to keep things moving and make sure everyone gets plenty of run.
