Fall salmon fishing is heating up!⁠

The Vedder is starting to see more Chinook, with coho and early chum showing up, and the rain arriving this weekend could give the river the boost we’ve been waiting for. Meanwhile, the Fraser and Capilano mouths are still producing some excellent late-season salmon fishing, including some big Chinook!⁠

September is almost here, and that means some of our favourite fishing of the year is just around the corner! 🎣⁠

The Fraser Mouth chinook fishery opens September 1, and we’re getting excited for what the next few weeks could bring. Our river outlook is also looking ahead to the fall coho and chinook season, with good numbers of fish expected but we’re going to need some rain to get those rivers moving.⁠

Closer to home, the Ambleside beach fishery is heating up as more coho begin gathering around the Capilano mouth, making this a great time to get out for some early-morning beach fishing.⁠
