• The Medicine Wheel: a holistic approach to coaching that embraces the physical, mental, emotional, intellectual, cultural and spiritual.
• The Four Pillars value system.
• How to create constructive coach-to-community relationships.

🛟I∙SPARC is pleased to present the 2026 Provincial Lifeguarding Leadership Camp, hosted in partnership with the Aboriginal Youth F.I.R.S.T. Program (Futures in Recreation & Sport Training).

💧This weeklong camp is open to self-identified Indigenous youth (First Nation, Métis, & Inuit) of all ages and will introduce the sport of Lifesaving & Lifeguarding for both beginners and advanced athletes. The camp will be delivered by certified Lifesaving Society and PADI instructors

-Lifesaving Stream: 13 years old by course start date & basic swimming ability
-Lifeguarding Stream: 15 years old by course start date & Bronze Cross certification

Baseball BC Announce the 1st Annual Indigenous Festival
The Baseball BC Indigenous Festival is more than just baseball - it’s a celebration of community, culture, and connection.
Youth athletes will come together to learn the game, build their skills, and play with pride in a fun, welcoming environment led by Baseball BC coaches. Through teamwork, encouragement, and cultural respect, every player will have the opportunity to grow in confidence, make new connections, and be part of something bigger.
Families, Nations, and communities are invited to come together and support young athletes as they discover their love for the game. ❤️

Indigenous Wheelchair Rugby Have-A- Go Day in partnership with BC Wheelchair Sports Association (BCWSA)

This combines elements of rugby, basketball, handball, in a low pressure supportive, fun and safe environment.

Indigenous Wheelchair Rugby Have-A- Go Day: June 6th at the Richmond Olympic Oval from 1pm to 1:45pm with free tickets to the Canada vs Brazil rugby match starting at 2pm!

This event open to every ability but priority will be given to participants with physical disability regarding participation.

2026 BC Summer Games Trials
At the BC Summer Games, athletes (13 to 16 years old as of January 1 in the year of the Games) are encouraged to participate in multi-discipline paddling events:
Sprint Canoe and Kayak (including Surfski)
Flatwater Slalom
Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP)
Kayak Polo
We also ensure athletes just entering the sport have a positive experience by providing a multi-stream competition. To encourage development all age eligible athletes are able to experience a Games opportunity in both a 'Learn to Train' and subsequent 'Train to Train' category.
Eligibility
Athletes must be born between 2010 and 2013
PaddleALL athletes: born between 2007 and 2013

BC Ultimate and Ultimate Spirit are facilitating an all-Indigenous Team who will be competing in Ultimate at the 2026 BC Summer Games in Kelowna, BC on July 22-26, 2026! This provincial competition will feature BC Zone teams as well as Team BC Indigenous showcasing Indigenous youth athletes from across the province.
