Have you ever thought about becoming an Umpire?! It's a great way to earn some extra 💲 ($45 a game in the Van Women's League) while getting a workout in the fresh air.
Annnnd did you know that we will pay for members to take the course?? If you've ever thought about it, now's the time to give it a try! Interested? Shoot us a message or let your team rep know 😃
Provincial Umpire Course
FHBC is running a Provincial Umpire course in October. The cost is $60 for FHBC members and $85 for non-members. Courses are two sessions of 3 hours, including theory and exam. Participants are required to attend both sessions to be eligible to write the exam. Candidates must be a minimum of 13 years old by the end of the calendar year to register.
- Dates: Tuesday, October 1st, and Tuesday, October 8th (registration cut off: Thursday September 26th)
- Location: Killarney Community Centre Room 201 – Music
- Times: October 1st 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm & October 8th 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm

It's time for the VIT again! The 2019 Vancouver International Tournament is being held over the May long weekend (Saturday May 18 to Monday May 20th) and the Lomas are putting in a team again this year! Everything (including the beer garden!) takes place at the Burnaby Lakes complex.
All levels of play are welcome so this is a great opportunity to get to know other players in the club. The cost will be around $40 depending on # of players.
