🪡 This event is a great opportunity for some peer-learning on sewing machines! Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level, and you are welcome to bring a machine if you have one!

📖RECONCILIATION, CLIMATE & ENVIRONMENTALISM BOOK CLUB

Introducing the newest addition to our programs! Starting this July, we’ll be hosting a monthly book club exploring ecology, justice, and stewardship. 🌳

📜 Readers can meet once a month in our student club to discuss the selected book and its themes!

WHEN? Tuesday, July 28th, 6:30-8:00pm (During Skills night)
WHERE? Held in the back room/student club

The selected book for the first session will be Braiding Sweetgrass, by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Finishing the book beforehand is not necessary. Everyone is welcome, and we hope to see you there! 👋

Join us this week for our Friday Fix! We'll be running a fairly open session featuring mending, embroidery, and other neat skills to repair and give new life to your clothes. 👖✨

ATTN: owners of Rad Power Bikes - there has been a warning issued to stop using lithium-ion batteries for the bikes which have the model number RP-1304 and HL-RP-S1304
The hazardous batteries can unexpectedly ignite and explore, posing a fire hazard to consumers

😳 Wowwww Kingsgate Mall, so it’s like that?? I guess a line has been drawn in the sand 😤
This mall has always been a place where dreams come true❣️ It’s the most perplexing building in East Van - how is it still standing in the year 2025?? It is a real testament to what you can accomplish if you stand your ground in the face of adversity 🙌 A beacon of hope for the denizens of The 604™️ (aka Vancouver) 🌎
💓 We have spent many minutes dreaming 💭 of popping a wheelie in front of the Virtual Reality place ☝️, maybe pumping our tires at that coffee kiosk where everyone plays the lottery 🤑 or perhaps even doing some jumps by the furniture rental spot 🛋️
Life is hard for a cyclist!! I guess we now know where we are not welcome though 😓 If there are any malls that will allow us to live out our cycling dreams, please drop a comment below 🗣️
