Lykopis is excited to announce our next Workshop: Beginner and Advanced Arrowcrafting! Whether you are after some eye catching arrows on the field or at the range, Lykopis Arrow Crafting will be here for you. Participants will be guided through creating their own personalized cresting on either carbon (Beginner) or wooden (Advanced) shafts. Beginners will then cut their fletch into a profile of their choice while Advanced students will learn how to cut self nocks with reinforcement from horn…all of this and more! Round 2! Such a beautiful day at Burke Mtn, made challenging by an amazing 3D course from Burke Mtn Archers. Up, down and all around we went, arrows in trees, streams, taking the shot by any means. Lykopis had so much fun and maybe some bruises. Thanks Burke Mountain Archers as always! Next stop, Badlands!

Fun! Fun! FUN! Was had by the students at the first 3D of 2026! A well laid out course with some challenging shots and various distances gave our Archers the chance to step up to the task! That carp had it coming. We made some friends and enjoyed sharing our day and skills. Much thanks to .archers for providing an excellent 3D layout, we look forward to the next one!

Oldest bowstring found in Spain! What an incredible find by archaeologists Cueva de Los Murciélagos in Albuñol near Granada, Spain. The 7000 year old bowstring hails from the Neolithic Period and is only a few years younger than the Holmegaard Bow from Denmark. The strings are crafted from goat, deer and boar tendon/sinew.
