Congratulations to Anson Chow , who received $2,500 towards his education because of the Teamsters Local 213 scholarship program!
Anson is attending Toronto Metropolitan University to study business management. Anson's mother, Susan So So Kwan (pictured), is a Teamsters Local 213 member who works for Coca Cola.
Every year, Local 213 awards 15 scholarships as part of the Student Award program in recognition of Joseph Whiteford and Don McGill.
Anson received his cheque from Teamsters Local 213 Business Rep Jim Loyst.

Congratulations to Casey Obispado , yet another proud recipient of a 2026 Student Award Scholarship in recognition of Joseph Whiteford and Don McGill.
Casey receives $2,500 for her education. She is studying to become a Cardiology Technologist at BCIT. Casey's father Ruben Obispado is a Teamsters Local 213 member who works at ProAmpac (Flexstar).
An outstanding achievement by both Casey and the proud father!

Happy retirement to Dave Carr who is retiring from Van Kam Freightways after nearly 39 years of service. Dave started working for the company all the way back in 1987!
Dave has been on a 2:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. shift for last 17 years. He's looking forward to regaining regular daytime hours and spending time with his family.

Teamsters Local 213 is responding to the devastation of this BC wildfire season. Active members who have been forced to evacuate their primary residence are eligible for a one-time relief payment of $500.

Sofia Sutherland received a cheque for $2,500 that will be used to continue her studies in public relations at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Sofia's father Alastair Sutherland is a proud Teamsters 213 member who works at Avis Budget Group.
