IยทSPARC has opened an Expression of Interest for its Indigenous Cultural Safety Training program for the 2026 and 2027 cohorts.
๐Who itโs for: Sport leaders, coaches, administrators and Provincial Sport Organizations committed to meaningful reconciliation and development.
Cost: Funding support is available through IยทSPARC. Once an application is approved and confirmed, a $75 registration fee per participant applies.

This immersive experience blends physical activity leadership with Indigenous teachings, wellness, culture, and connection โ supporting participants to grow confidence, build practical skills, and become community movement leaders.
๐Graduates will deliver an 8-week FitNation program in their community between MayโJuly 2026 and receive a $1,000 grant to support implementation. Training includes hands-on fitness instruction, ceremony, medicine walks, drumming, Elder teachings, mentorship, and more. Applications close February 27, 2026 โ learn more and apply today!

Save the Date!
The Team BC Player Selection Camp will be held March 27-29, 2026 in Kamloops, BC at the McArthur Island Sports Centre. Players will be evaluated over the three-day camp to determine the top 20 men and top 20 women hockey players to represent BC at the 2026 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC) to be hosted in Regina, Saskatchewan.
The selection camp rotates annually between the six IยทSPARC regions throughout the province. The dates aim to accommodate:
โข the completion of most playersโ 2025-26 seasons
โข the availability of a multi-ice facility
โข the availability of volunteer coaching staff, outside of their primary hockey commitments
