This was a proud moment for The Arbutus Club as we had the privilege of hosting one of the largest Canadian Squash National Championships in history.
What made this event truly special was not only the dedication of our team, who work tirelessly day in and day out, but also the incredible support of our members who generously volunteered their time and energy to help showcase what makes our Club so unique.

A sincere thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 Po***ck Clinics Men’s Health Canadian Squash Championships such a success. The event delivered outstanding competition and sportsmanship, and we were proud to welcome athletes, coaches, and guests from across the country. The collective effort behind every detail was truly remarkable.

To the players, volunteers, Arbutus Club team members, and everyone who attended and supported the event—thank you.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our Long Range Planning & Development Open House sessions. We appreciated the strong turnout across both sessions and the thoughtful conversations as we explored potential options for the future of our aging Tennis Building and Pool Facility.

Your input is an important part of this process. As a next step, we will be gathering broader member feedback through a Member Capital Survey which will be sent out early May. This survey will help inform priorities and guide planning over the coming years.

The Spring Break Youth Camps welcomed a visit from the Urban Safari Rescue Society today. Campers were introduced to a variety of rescued animals from as far away as Australia and learned about each species and how they live in the wild! 🐍🐞🦀

Congratulations to the U13 A Team on an incredible silver medal finish at the BC Provincials.

After earning their spot with a league championship, the team carried that momentum all the way to the final, coming up just short in a hard-fought 4–3 overtime game.

Back-to-back success, including last year’s Provincial Championship and this year’s silver medal, is a remarkable achievement and a true reflection of the team’s hard work, resilience, and strong Club culture.

A season to be proud of. 💙💚

40+ incredible girls. One powerful night. 💙
The Keayton Memorial Girls’ Skate at The Arbutus Club was pure magic from the first stride. The rink was filled with girls of all ages and skill levels who came together to celebrate, remember, and lift each other up.
And the fun didn’t stop at the boards! From bracelet-making and custom mini sticks to being pampered and well-fed at the after party, the joy carried on long after the ice time ended. ✨
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers and to Keayton’s family for joining us and helping make the evening so meaningful. What a beautiful way to remember Keayton. 💫
