just like the title says, how you step when progressing through a typical Yang style form.
Reeling Silk T'ai Chi Chuan
Tai Chi classes in Yang, Chen, and Northern Wu styles.
Just in case you're wondering, Reeling Silk Tai Chi is on "vacation" for a while. I've stopped teaching and have been studying Fu style Tai Chi with Grandmaster Victor Fu. Whether I go back to teaching is debatable at the moment. I enjoyed the almost 6 years I taught at the Creekside Recreation Centre but it was time for that to end.
If I decide to teach again, I'll certainly post here and let you all know. Otherwise, keep playing your Tai Chi and the best to everyone who visits the site.
If you see me practicing outdoors at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody, do feel free to stop me and say hello :)
The only constant in life is change. Shift happens.
As of August 1st, I will no longer be teaching Tai Chi classes at the Creekside Recreation and Community Centre at False Creek Athlete's Village in Vancouver. This was a personal decision, I was not asked to leave or anything bad like that. It was time to move on. I want to wish my former Creekside students all the best in their future Tai Chi endeavours and hope we can meet from time to time to share where life has taken us.
When or if Reeling Silk T'ai Chi classes reappear only time will tell but for now, we're on an extended holiday. If serendipity favours you and you happen to be in Rocky Pt Park in Port Moody and see some guy that looks like me practicing, it probably is, so feel free to interrupt me and say hi.
I am deepening my own practice with studies under Grand Master Sifu Victor Fu, learning Fu style Tai Chi, Xing-yi and Bagua. During the summer he teaches at the park at Slocan and 29th Wed eves and Saturday mornings. Please feel free to come by and talk to him if you're interested in learning Fu style.
Cheers,
Rich
