Next week to celebrate 50th Anniversary we embark on El Tourdorado. We look forward to meeting .rugby and for our matches.

Thank you to our spouses, families and friends for their support as well as the 11 clubs that have been part of our players rugby journey.

We pause to remember Sgt. Larry Young, one of our club’s founders, on the 39th anniversary of his line-of-duty death. A team leader on the Vancouver Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, Sgt. Young was shot and killed on February 2, 1987 while serving a high-risk arrest warrant. Sgt. Young was an 18-year veteran of policing and just 40-years-old when he gave his life protecting the citizens of Vancouver.

In his honour, we’ll never again field the number 6 jersey, and each year we play the Legal Beavers of UBC Law in the Larry Young Memorial Game. We hold his family, friends, colleagues, and teammates close to our hearts today.

Rest in peace, Larry. Gone but never forgotten.
