Class Five Snowboards

Class Five Snowboards operated from March 2007 to November 2013.

Since building our first snowboard in 2004, we’ve had an amazing journey. The photo below is from Christmas day 2005. It shows the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th snowboards produced by Class Five.

Started in Regina, Saskatchewan by James Friedrich and with the help of friends and artists Justin Swedberg and John Antoski, Class Five produced high end snowboards for the western Canadian snowboard market.

Justin moved to Regina in 2007 and together with James brought Class Five from the back of a garage to a full manufacturing facility. From inception until 2010, James and Justin handmade every Class Five board, including the 07/08 Electro Lab that was featured as Most Wanted in Transworld Snowboarding’s March 2008 issue.

In 2008, Class Five added Mark and Craig McMorris to their snowboard team becoming the brothers’ first board sponsor. Mark rode Class Five’s handmade snowboards until 2010.

To all our friends, customers and anyone else that we’ve met along the way, we’d like to say thank you! Your support over the years has been amazing and we appreciate everything that you’ve done for us.
