If you know what I mean, you are on a good startđ
It took me the longest time to let go of this competitive nature (wanting to win, not wanting to lose) as my driveâŚ.
What my 30years of accumulated experience playing the game â˝ď¸ reminds me over and over is the more you care about the results, the more youâll try harder and take more risks. (There was definitely a period of my â˝ď¸ career that this was worth it)
Can you guess where Iâm going with this?
Basically, what Iâm trying to say is, this mentality increases your risk of getting hurt.
If youâre okay with that, go for it.
But if you know youâre going to regret it (like most bodies over age 30 will), maybe donât take that chance?
If you want to enjoy your sport for longer, not being injured is the đ feature for the joy of playing.
If this is important to you, you must learn to make better decisions.
Donât let your ego or peer-pressure suck you closer to injury.
Play smart, is the name of the game đď¸
If youâre on the same page with me, follow along my journey as I thrive to continue to play â˝ď¸ in my 40s.
Whatâs your experience??

I know a lot of people have this goal, but not many people have this in mind.
What makes you last long is totally dependent on the health of your joints.
Movement efficiency basically means not stressing any âparticularâ joint while you move and do the stuff you do.
We all have to use all our joints in our body in order to move.
How well you use them generally requires a base understanding how your body actually works.
Unfortunately, it wasnât part of our school curriculum growing up, but we all still have a long active life to live, and itâs never too late to learnđ
If you are a keen learner, stay tuned.
I know the Internet is a confusing place, but Iâll help you connect the dots of your fragmented knowledgeđ
Itâs so obvious, if you think about it,,,
but not many take it to heart and tap into the power of it.
So, a little background if you donât know me. I mainly teach how to move efficiently in order to maximize your athletic potential before resorting to strength building work like traditional weight lifting.
Without explaining the nitty gritty of how I do this, letâs just say, itâs like learning new skills.
As you get better at moving your body in an efficient manner, you will feel stronger (âď¸force output) last longer (âď¸wasting energy) and âď¸risk of injuries.
I mean who doesnât want that, right?
I teach, you learn.
Sure, knowledge is powerful, but how do you actually get BETTER at a skill?
By PRACTICING.
đąPRACTICING with curiosity
đżPRACTICING until you internalize the skill
đłPRACTICING until it becomes automatic
The ones who understands this are the ones who really see the benefits.
They believe in the process.
The ones who think 1h/week is enough to change their behaviour (how they move) will see minimal progress. (Progressing, but slow. Very slow)
Think what you would say to a kid if they want to become a professional soccer player one day.
Same thing.
Do you feel your movement habits are on point?
If youâre a âbelieve in the processâ type of person, I already like you. Youâre my peopleđđ
