🥎 2026 Vankleek Hill Softball League Finals 🥎
And then there were two… Purple vs. Shamrock for the 2026 championship! 🏆
As the game began, one thing was immediately noticeable… the Purple captain was nowhere to be seen! 👀
Word on the street was that he had abandoned his team to head to Ottawa to listen to his favourite singer, Stella Lefty. 🎤
With their captain MIA, Purple had to scramble to find a new third baseman and decided to plug in Drew Cunning. And let’s just say… Drew may have found himself a new spot for next season! 👀🥎
Defensively, Purple was on point all night long. From sliding catches in the field to turning double plays in the infield, they came ready to play and made the big plays when they needed them. 🔥
Purple came out swinging hard, putting up 8 runs in the first inning, while Shamrock answered with 3.
From there, the game continued to get out of hand, with Purple putting up 6–8 runs almost every inning, while Shamrock battled back with 4–5 runs of their own. The bats were flying, but Purple kept adding to their lead.

Purple captured their FIRST-EVER Vankleek Hill Softball League championship in their inaugural season! What a way to start the franchise! 💜🥎🏆
