Well, here we are finished up for another year, and even with the low participation I will say the event was a huge success. I would like to Congratulate Winston Ha (University of Western Ontario), who had registered only last week, and fishing his first event, managed to pull off a win with just over 9 lbs. Despite the wind and bumpy almost everyone had brought in limit of 3 fish. Thanks to the volunteers who had come out and helped with the day, Esteban Pramparo, Neil MacInnis, David MacInnis, Don Shaw, Justine Elyse Edison and Mike Murphy. Would not have been possible without you. A special shout out to my brother Mark (Centennial College), who stepped up to be a boater (with very little experience on G Bay) who handled the wind well in a boat he had never fished in before, to make sure everyone could get on the water.
This event was filmed by Rogers for their show “Need to Fish” premiering in September. This episode should air mid to late October.
