Congrats Eula on her amazing 8th place finish at U23 10km classic!! Apparently she skied on Ronnie’s Rockets - the oldest ski on course today but one of the fastest!! Way to go Eula and Team Canada!!!

Eula Palmer Bird, a dedicated cross country skier from Vernon, BC, has an incredible opportunity ahead of her. As a grade eleven student at W.L Seaton Secondary and a proud member of the BC Ski Team, she recently qualified to represent Canada at the World Junior Championships in Lillehammer, Norway. This is a huge achievement for Eula, and she is also set to compete in Sweden at the National Cup Final. These events are a chance for her to showcase her talent on the world stage and make her community proud.

However, the costs associated with traveling overseas, including flights, accommodation, and race fees, are significant. Eula is reaching out for support to help cover these expenses. Its Reino Keski Salmi time!! The groomers have worked the snow to give skiers the best conditions they can with what Mother Nature has given this year! Thanks to the grooming team!!!
Recommended grip is klister - put on a couple thin layers of base klister ( let each layer cool in between) . Smooth this layer out as much as possible. Let the binder set up 15 mins before applying your klister. Several klisters were tested today and Swix Universal / Star Wide/Swix Violet/Start Purple all worked. No hard wax cover needed as it will probably be off with the first km due to firm trail conditions. Glide wax - anything in the -4 to -10 ( Master Wax transformed was great glide).
Tracks were shallow in some placed with dirt showing so maybe leave your good race skis at home for this one!! Have fun be careful on the downhill and enjoy the wonderful event put on by Larch Hills Nordic!
