This event supports the Vikes Women’s Soccer team’s fundraising efforts for post-season travel. In February 2024, we plan to travel to Florida to compete against top Division 1 schools, which will enhance our future game play here in Canada. Additionally, we will participate in the Mia Gunter Memorial Tournament, where we’ll honor her memory by playing alongside Special Olympic athletes💙

We’re thrilled to announce that Malia Phelan is bringing her skills to the Vikes this upcoming season! 🎉 Hailing from the VI Wave program, she’s a true homegrown talent ready to make waves on the field as a winger or midfielder. Welcome aboard, Malia!⚡️

⭐️Graduating Player Issue No .4⭐️

Erin Jensen will be graduating from the Vikes women’s soccer program and starting her next chapter! Erin Jensen grew up in Nanaimo BC, playing for the HPL Wave program and Nanaimo United FC until she joined the Vikes in 2020.

Showing resiliency through the Covid year Erin soon became a staple striker and winger for our team making appearances in every game. Erin’s speed and athleticism has set her apart from the competition and has always been a threat to the opposition. Year after year, Erin has always dominated fitness tests within the Vikes program, inspiring all of us to follow in her footsteps.

Erin has recorded 2773 minutes played in season for the Vikes and has started every game this past 2023-24 season. She has tallied 10 goals and 3 assists throughout her career and has pulled through in clutch moments this past season like scoring the game winning goal against TWU/UBC and scoring twice to defeat Macewan for a spot in CanWest semi-finals.

Off the field, Erin is pursuing a degree in Sociology and Public Administration and we know she will accomplish great things. Erin is one of the most positive people to be around that can always bring a smile to your face no matter what. EJ will always be an example of how dedication and hardwork are embodied within a person and we thank you for being so committed to the program.🫶🏼
