Today five BC real estate organizations including the BC Notaries Association submitted anti-money laundering recommendations to government.
BC Notaries has committed to lend notary expertise to this collaboration with other real estate professionals and government to address the impact of money laundering. Notaries undertake the majority of resident real estate conveyancing in the province, and are fully compliant with FINTRAC rules for the detection, prevention and deterrence of money laundering.
