Clover Point parkrun 379
June 6, 2026
The late spring showers subsided just long enough for parkrun today, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our 148 participants certainly thought so, too! Special welcome to our 11 participants taking in their first ever parkrun, and another 6 parkrunners who joined us for the first time. Welcome to all of you.
The cooler temperatures and calm winds certainly brought the heat, as we had an astounding 25 new personal bests, led by first finishers Cameron Lynka and Jenna Hatter in 17:58 and 21:34, respectively. Well done, everyone!
We'd also like to congratulate two regulars on achieving milestones today - Katrina Slusar completed her 50th parkrun and Kristin Day completed her 25th. Congratulations to both of you.
It's a scientific fact that waving at the photographer will get you in the photo highlights - and this week is no exception. The rest of photographer Joseph Camilleri’s photos are available on our Google photo album - feel free to share, but please credit Joe. Thank you!

We're always looking for help, so if you'd like to volunteer at an upcoming event you can find the open positions in the app or on our website - simply drop us a line and let us know what you'd like to do and when you'd like to do it. That simple!

Clover Point parkrun # 377
May 23rd, 2026
Sailboats, orcas and runners - oh my! It was a busy day down at Clover Point this past Saturday, as the annual Swiftsure regatta and an orca pod sighting made for a crowded path for our 170 participants. But we still had fun, nonetheless.
We were joined by 9 participants who completed their very first parkrun ever, and another 17 who joined us for the first time. Welcome to all of you. First finishers were Cameron Lynka and Orla Scott in 18:13 and 20:01, respectively, and a further 23 participants achieved a new personal best. Lastly, special kudos to Greg Gudgeon for achieving his 50th parkrun and Neal Nicholson for his 25th. Well done!
Google Photo upload is a little...interesting, shall we say, when attempted from a Gulf Island, so you will have to trust us that took a bunch of great photos that will be available later. Fingers crossed the hamsters do their job and the wi-fi wheels keep turning!
(edit 8:47 pm - link below! Hamsters are tired...)

That's all for now - hope to see you again this Saturday at our regular start area down by the picnic tables. Enjoy the week and this fantastic springtime weather!

Clover Point parkrun #376
May 16, 2026
We were blessed with a breezy but dry day down at Clover Point for event # 376. Before getting things going, we were fortunate to host a warmup from the lovely Delilah, who got us moving and talked about all the good work that does in the community. If you're going to the parade on Monday morning, make sure you cheer for all the Victoria Mile participants!
It was an outstanding turnout of 154 participants, including 19 doing their very first parkrun and a further 16 joining us for the first time. Welcome to all of you! A fantastic total of 21 participants recorded new personal bests, with special congratulations going out to first finishers Cameron Lynka (first timer!) and Orla Scott (PB!) in 18:23 and 20:14, respectively. We would also like to congratulate our milestoners Thomas Mok (50) and Tresa Marshall (25). Sensational job, all of you.
Our guy was at the homestretch taking a few photos, and managed to avoid being stepped on or otherwise accosted (except for a bit of exuberant dog slobber, that is). Boy, did a lot of you have energy to jump for Joe! We've included a few of our faves, but feel free to have a look through the album at the link below. You are welcome to reproduce, but please tag Joe. Thank you!
