Not bad for the first tournament back
If you live in Saanich, Victoria, Oak Bay, or Esquimalt please fill out this survey. We need to ensure pickleball doesn't take over any more tennis courts.

PERFECTIONISM: friend or foe?
There’s a great advertisement from clothing giant, Nike, which features tennis professional, Emma Raducanu. It starts with her saying, “I was such a little perfectionist. I would go crazy if I didn’t hit the balls in the right place. But I’ve definitely grown and I’ve learned that perfectionism isn’t a destination.”
Perfectionism can be both an asset and a liability for an athlete. One advantage is that it can drive you to work harder and want to improve. Perfectionism is also the reason why some individuals make it to a very high level in their chosen activity.
Perfectionists tend to do very good work because of their high standards and a ‘never satisfied’ approach to things. However, on the flipside, it can also sabotage their performance and more importantly, the enjoyment of the activity.
Regarded as one of the greatest writers of all time, the famous Russian author, Leo Tolstoy once said, “If you look for perfection, you’ll never be content.”

Really important!
Was speaking to coaches about this yesterday. It astounds me how few junior players play practice sets with each other these days.
I’m seeing players rock up to tournaments having literally not practiced the exact thing they are about to do in the event.
Coaches and parents, throw your kids on to court and make them spar with each other. If they are scared to or protecting their status then what does that say about how courageous they really are.
