Welcome to Victoria, British Columbia — the first Canadian stop of the JaYoe Nation Van & Trike Tour! After crossing the border by ferry, I roll into the historic Fairfield Bicycle Shop, a community-rooted store built inside a 100-year-old pharmacy. Henry, the shop manager, gives me a full tour — from the bustling sales floor filled with upright bikes to the trike selection tucked among the vintage brick and wood. Downstairs, a massive service area keeps Victoria’s cyclists rolling year-round. This episode marks my introduction to Canada’s cycling culture — and it’s amazing. The city itself is one of the most bike-friendly I’ve seen, even offering a free bike valet downtown courtesy of City Hall. You can literally park your trike, grab a meal, and not worry at all.
