Been ages since I made a hoop.

This photo feels like a lifetime ago.
I had an amazing experience yesterday. I was at a fellowship family BBQ. Before heading out the door I grabbed a few of my hoops. Hoops I haven't touched in ages. I thought to myself maybe, just maybe they will add some fun at the BBQ.
I wasn't doubting hoops wouldn't be fun but was doubting myself. A little worried I wouldn't actually pull them out and start the fun.

I'm accepting where I am at right NOW. 💜
Letting go of my old identity. For quite some time I have thought back to my transformational hoop days and how I was. I used to feel sadness for not being that anymore. I've felt guilt for losing my flow. I've felt guilt for gaining weight. I've been thinking I'm not enough TODAY because of what or who I used to be.
Today I look back to those days and feel grateful for what I went through and how hooping spun into my life just when I needed it. I feel content today, not putting pressure on myself to be what I was. But to just be. 💜
I did it! I brought the hoops out and they were enjoyed by all ages. I even spun a little. I was rusty but it felt great. I can't seem to spin without dizziness since my head injury but what I did enjoy was the smiles everyone else had. It felt great to be apart of that. 😀💜

I know many will not read this long post and that's OK. It feels more like a journal entry I needed for myself more than anything. but I want to thank you for reading all the way through if you did. It means alot. I hope you can relate in someway and accept yourself TODAY. 💜

I'm still finding my new hoop flow. It's been a challenge since my head injury last year. I don't do much other than waist hooping so far but gently exploring more light duty off body. Coordination is an issue these days also. Staying patient and accepting where I'm at. Hopeful for more progress in future as I continue my recovery. Just keep spinning!
