Are you looking for a fresh start to your running? Are you feeling burnt out or lacking motivation? Do you want to understand the principles of an effective training plan and how to maximize one based upon your individual needs? Do you want to be part of a like-minded group/club that will provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone? If you answered yes to any of these, this may be the right running club for you.

Paul O’Callaghan and Walter Cantwell, are looking to start Aspire running club for runners/athletes who want to be coached or who simply want to be part of a fun and dynamic group. The tentative plan would be to meet once weekly (Wednesdays at 5pm various locations) with the possibility of adding a second meeting on Saturdays during certain times of the year.

Together, they have over 80 years of running experience and they have amassed a great deal of valuable information over those years by listening to great coaches, athletes, and sports scientists. In addition to being an athlete, Paul holds a degree in physical education and Walter is a pharmacist who also has a degree in biochemistry. They understand that every athlete may require a different approach. Their philosophy will be one of collaboration based on informed decision making that best suits your personal needs and current life situation. Because you are all unique, they believe, with your input, that they can develop a program that will maximize your running performance.

If you are interested in joining this group please send an email to [email protected]. Once your email is received, they will get back to you with more details. After that, they will send out a meeting request (maintaining social distancing) to gather your running history, your current fitness, and your running aspirations. They will also outline their education, running history, and experience in coaching.
