VPC’s pro team, The Victoria Orcas, headed out to the Kamloops Open 2026. Three of our players were brave enough to take on singles… all three came home with gold medals 🥇

🥇 — Gold in Women’s 4.0–4.99 Singles
🥇 — Gold in Men’s 4.5 Singles

Grace also came home with a silver medal in Women’s 5.0 Doubles🥈

We are so proud of the entire team for representing the Orcas and Victoria Pickleball Centre so well in Kamloops!

We had an awesome turnout and loved seeing both familiar and new faces out on the courts.

The “clear space” standard is one of the most misunderstood rules in pickleball. A ball is only OUT if you can clearly see space between the ball and the line at contact. Different angles can completely change what players think they see.

If you’re not 100% sure… the ball is IN.

When: Friday, August 21 - Sunday, August 23, 2026

Who: Everyone! We have competitive divisions for all skill levels, including our always-stacked 55+ category.

The Big Day: Registration officially opens on June 29.

Huge thank you to all the amazing moms and mother figures who came out to celebrate Mother’s Day with us on the courts yesterday! 🌺

It was so fun seeing families playing together, sharing laughs, competing, and making memories both on and off the court. From intense rallies to casual games, the energy in the facility was incredible all afternoon.

We’re grateful to have such a welcoming and supportive community here at VPC. Thanks for spending part of your Mother’s Day with us!

Big points, strong teamwork, and nonstop energy kept the atmosphere buzzing all session long. The fight for 1st place came down to an intense DreamBreaker between Viva’s team and Emma’s team, closing out the night with an incredible finish.
