Excited to see BC Marine Trails Network new 'Marine Debris' layer added to their already fabulous mapping tool;
AND even more thrilled to see some of our site reports among the first mapped here!

You too can participate in this important recreation-led stewardship:

If you spot debris while out paddling:
- Pack it out if you can do so safely
- Store it above the high tide line if you must leave it behind
- Snap a photo
- Submit a site report https://www.bcmarinetrails.org/reporting/

Let’s keep the coast clean together! 💙

Some very busy Trash Pandas this week on the occasion of Ocean Week 2025 showing our love for our community, our favourite paddling places and as always, the Salish Sea! 💙

Father and son, paddling together to clean up the ocean, one shopping cart, rope and tire at a time. They helped the Trash Panda Brigade with our collection of 1675 pounds of marine trash collected in one day!
This dad brought his family to the Earth Day clean up we did in April, and his kids had so much fun helping out.
When Ocean Week Victoria rolled around, the son was so excited for another opportunity to join all the adults in spending a Saturday searching for sunken“trashure” in the Gorge waterway.

Shout out to dads for supporting their kid's goals, like this new found passion of paddling and spending time in nature doing cleanups.
Protecting the ocean we love can start early!

Lifting the Salish Sea's burden a little yesterday 💙

Thank-you Tillicum Centre for supporting our efforts and sponsoring this cleanup!
