Wednesday night was a wonderful Teen class in our big, beautiful dojo!
Junior Nationals 2026 with Koen: He started stronger than last time and only didn’t advance due to a rare technicality, but more importantly, he’s a real karate-ka who always shows up at the dojo and events with the greatest enthusiasm! Koen’s been at Kenzen for more than half of his life since he was a little one, and he’s just getting better every year!

Harnoor’s first Nationals resulted in a medal, national squad selection and most importantly an example of how consistent training combined with a good mental attitude leads to success.

Viraj had an incredible first Nationals as he was on track to earn a medal, yet was faulted by a technicality after the match. Still, his dedication paid off and everyone can see he has a big future ahead of him.

Here’s Ewan competing at Junior Nationals last weekend in both kata and kumite. It takes real dedication to train and perform in both disciplines year-round, and his effort shows. He’s a great example of the well-rounded karateka Kenzen strives to develop in the dojo.
