So proud of this guy!

Last night in Mexico 🇲🇽 at 18yrs old, took on his first opponent in MMA.

As a student he did everything a coach could ask for, he listened great, made adjustments on the fly, and demonstrated perfectly a ton of the techniques we focused on in camp.

While the close decision didn't go our way, this has been a great experience for us to build upon. Felix has lit a fire in the team in preparation for this fight, and I can't wait to get back to the academy and grow this momentum.

Life has been epic lately, I've been too busy having fun to keep up with social media.

Jordan White gave an incredible demonstration, earning himself a Blue belt before leaving to Kelowna. Hard shoes to fill, and the team will miss him greatly in his absence.

and went a perfect sweep in the SIO in Chemainus going 8-0 with all submissions in 8 minutes of grappling 🙀🙀🙀

has been training hard for his MMA fight and we are in Mexico 🇲🇽 now getting ready for battle tomorrow.

and his band win Canada's Waken Metal Battle and will open for Guns and Rose's at the Waken Open in Germany 🇩🇪 in July.

The incomparable Alex Ueda.

We had the extreme honor of hosting Alex this week at the academy for one of the best seminars I have ever attended. His genuine passion for teaching, coupled with his incredibly vast knowledge of the art, is something truly special and inspiring. It's been wild to see the growth in some in my students grappling in just a few days after the seminar.

I am honored to call Alex a mentor and one of my closest friends.

Today is his Birthday 🎂

The heart is full after an amazing weekend.

Thankful to have the opportunity to get everyone together this weekend, and promote 6 incredibly well deserving students: Helen, Scott, Nick, Jordan, Lawrence, and Oscar

Everyone has been working extremely hard, and I'm so proud of how well they were able to showcase their skills.
