Yesterday Albion CC played against Colts CC in semifinal.

On a rain interrupted day, winning the toss skipper Suhan opted to bat first. Satinder and Tushar started off watching the ball carefully as the ball was doing a bit initially. once settled in satinder started shifting gears smacking ball all over the park. A Run out (Tushar-39) broke over 100 runs opening stand for Albion. Seam joined the crease for another 100 runs partnership. At the end Albion scored 390 runs in 45 overs. Nadim meer scored 50, Manerick, Siem and Tushar chirped in with well made 30+ scores. The star of the innings Satinder Barmrah scored his first century (145) with 16 sixes and 7 fours. well played Satinder.

Colts were bowled out for 157. Albion CC will play Final next Saturday at Beacon hill park. Hope to see you all there.

Last weekend we faced against UVCC st B.H.P. Winning the toss UVCC decided to bat first. Sunil started off with 3 quick wickets and at the moment seemed like yet another collapse from UVCC side but Dhruval patel had different things in his mind. Due to his brilliant century with 10 sixes, UVCC ended up scoring 259/10 in 45 overs.

The form Albion Top order is in, this target should not be too much of a trouble but early wicket of Tushar had some hope in UVCC club. But after that Satinder and Siem started scoring at almost 10 R.P.O. At the end it was comfortable chase for Albion CC who chased down the total in 40.3 overs, thanks to team effort and everyone in top order contributing significant runs.

Yesterday we played against Alcos CC at BHP. Winning the toss, skipper decided to bat first. Albion Top order started from where they left last weekend. Scoring the highest registered total in VDCA history 438/5 in 45 overs.

Satinder and Tushar provided a dream start, scoring at around 12 R.P.O. Satinder (81) yet again missed out on a century who departed at 167 (15.3 overs). Inform Nadim meer joined the crease with Tushar and started ticking off quick runs. Tushar(95) also missing out on a 100, departed at 210(21.4 overs). Alcos must be wishing for a collapse but Captain Suhan and Nadim meer showed us what they do best. Without taking much risk they started rotating strike, putting the bad balls outside of the fence. Suhan got out on 68 (with two beautiful reverse sweeps). Manerick joined the crease and scored some quick runs before departing. Nadim meer(139) got out in last over of the inning.

Alcos openers were removed quickly by Sunil but after that Gaurav took over the show for a while, smashing the bowlers all over with some beautiful shots. Manerick coming as first change removed Gaurav(46) in just 3 balls which confirmed a comfortable victory for Albion. Colts player Nischal Karki played well and hold one end tact while wickets were falling from other end. Nischal departed scoring 75 runs with some good shots. Alcos were bowled out for 177 runs. Albion CC won the match by huge margin(261 runs).

Albion CC had an easy victory against incogs CC last Saturday. Incogs won the toss and elected to bat first. After tight first 10 overs by Pacers, spinners wrapped the incogs innings for just 101 runs in 34.1 overs.
Albion CC chased down the target with Loss of 3 wickets in 14.1 overs. Comfortable win for the Albion and with this win Albion CC is Topping the points table with 32 points in 10 games played so far.

Tomorrow Albion CC will be playing against Incongs CC at beacon hill park. Incongs CC is in full winning gear with 4 consecutive wins.
Albion top order is in its prime, having scored 1036 runs in last 3 matches (349,358,336). Chances for some fireworks at Beacon hill tomorrow.

We expect this to be a good contest between newly rejuvenated Incongs and Albion CC.

Last sunday we faced against the table toppers of this year, Islanders cricket club. In the form Albion cricket club top order is, the right option is always to win the toss and bat first. Luck was on our side, winning the toss we decided to bat first. Loosing first early wicket of satinder, manrick and tushar batted brilliantly to take Albion over 100 for loss of only one wicket. Everyone was happy seeing manrick back in form in a crucial match. He got out at 76 with 7 towering sixes. Nadim meer aka Mamu joined the crease with Tushar. Shortly tushar departed on 92 yet again missing out on a hundred but more importantly leaving the team on a way to big score. Suhan the captain came to the crease and as expected scored a quick fire 50 which included two beautiful reverse sweeps, of which one went for a big six. Mamu finished his 5th fifty of the season. Asad did what he does the best, scoring 35 with 4 big sixes. We ended up 336/5 at the end of 45 overs. A tough chase for the Islanders Cricket club. Two early wickets by Rajpal ensured the defeat for the islanders club, who got bowled out on 141 in 28.3 overs, thanks to brilliant bowling by the spinners Modi Mayur, Satinder Singh and Manrick Singh. Albion cricket club won the match by 195 runs.

After the match both club players enjoyed the evening with beers and pizza. It was good to see the way both team players had a good time together after the match and We hope this tradition continues for the upcoming matches 😊
