Thankful Thursday 🤍

This week we want to send a big thank you to Mustang Survival for donating two Mustang Atlas 190 DLX Hydrostatic Inflatable Life jackets to our Cascadia Sailing silent auction.

Mustang Survival has been a trusted name in marine safety gear for generations, and we are so grateful to have their support as we prepare for Newport.

Their donation helps make our silent auction stronger, and gives our community the chance to bid on high-quality gear while supporting the team.

Thank you to everyone at Mustang Survival for being part of this campaign and helping us move one step closer to the start line ⛵️

Our online silent auction is live now at CascadiaSailing.org/auction
Bidding is open until June 21 at 5 PM.

2025 Rolex New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup - Race Day 2 Live Broadcast 05/23/2026

Some early morning reading and YouTube watching ahead of a practice weekend with Richard Clarke this weekend.

Sad to miss Swiftsure this year, but opportunities like this do not come around often. Really looking forward to learning, training hard, and getting pushed by one of the best.

Good luck to everyone taking part in Swiftsure, we will be keeping an eye on the race tracker all weekend ⛵️

This week we want to send a huge thank you to Dolphin Insurance for supporting Cascadia Sailing as we prepare to represent the Pacific Northwest on an international stage. ⛵️

Based in Vancouver, BC, Dolphin Insurance has been helping people protect what matters most for decades, from homes and businesses to boats and marine insurance across the coast.

Their support helps carry this campaign forward, and we are incredibly grateful to have Dolphin Insurance behind the team.

Thank you to everyone at Dolphin Insurance for believing in our team and being part of the journey. 🌊🤍

Over the weekend, Cascadia Sailing teammates Zoe Folsetter, Tara Golonka , Kate Sargent and Joy Dahlgren raced the Round Saltspring Island Race aboard three of the four Moore 24s taking part in the 40-mile Pacific Northwest classic.

Great camaraderie and great competition, with a special shoutout to Sailing (Fraser Smith Aryeh Kozuch & Cam Wallace)🚜 with Fraser McMillan for winning Round Saltspring Overall. Pretty good showing from the Cascadia ladies as well, finishing 2nd, 5th, and 16th overall in their respective Moores. 🚜 🌊 ❤️ 🐝 Special thanks to Steve Crowe for the support and letting Amoore race without him 💐

As big fans of the Van Isle 360, sailing podcasts, and anything that brings the sailing community together, we’re really excited about Salty Dips, the new podcast started by Chris Maier of Black Wolf Racing.

Coaching legend Steve McBride was the first guest, and Cascadia Sailing’s Joy Dahlgren was the second guest.

Check it out, give it a listen, and add Salty Dips to your podcast list.

Thankful Thursday 🤍

This week we want to send a huge thank you to 48° North for helping share Cascadia Sailing’s story.

From the beginning, 48° North has been so generous in giving space to our team, our campaign, and the bigger story of women’s sailing in the Pacific Northwest. Their support has helped more people understand what we are building, why this championship matters, and how much strength there is in this regional sailing community.

48° North has long been a voice for sailors and boaters across the Pacific Northwest, sharing stories that inform, inspire, educate, and support our community. As part of Northwest Maritime, the Port Townsend nonprofit behind 48° North, that work is rooted in a broader mission of maritime education, adventure, discovery, and community.

We are so grateful for the platform, the encouragement, and the support as Cascadia Sailing trains toward the New York Yacht Club Women’s International Championship taking place this September.

Special thanks to Joe Cline for taking such a genuine interest in Cascadia Sailing and helping bring this campaign to a wider audience 🌊
