Last weekend marked our final sea kayak surf course of 2026. Over the season, we taught five courses, and Mother Nature was definitely on our side, we didn’t have to cancel any due to bad weather. Patti and I would like to thank all of you who signed up and joined us on the water. What keeps us motivated is seeing the anxious faces on the morning of day one transform into huge smiles by the end of day two. WOW!
We ended the May 16-17, 2026 sea kayak surf course by introducing Jenny, Tracy, and Wei to the feeling of rolling in surf. For Jenny, it was her very first roll ever, while Tracy and Wei experienced their first rolls in a surf wave.
We were all excited to see these paddlers try something new and push themselves outside their comfort zones. The smiles on their faces said it all. After their first successful roll, they kept going back for more.

We had an early start today due to high winds forecasted for the afternoon. We went to Mackenzie Beach, which provided an excellent opportunity to experience surf for the first time.
