It's a Murph Day!

This is our 13th annual Labour Day weekend Murph workout.

Murph is a hero workout that is a tribute to U.S. Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005.

Why do we do hero workouts?

They are usually harder than our average workout (this one typically takes 40-70 minutes) so it takes fitness, dedication, and comraderie to persevere through it.

Hero workouts are also a way that we can honour the courage and dedication of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Workout starts at 8am Saturday with snacks to follow.

Next week the bell rings and kids, teachers, support staff, and parents all get back into the routine of the school year. Even if you don't have kids or work around the school year, fall always feels like a time to reset.

Here's what we would do THIS week, to get ready.

👊Meal prep- buy a few extra servings of meat and cook all at once. Roast a couple sheets of veggies. Do up a big serving of rice. Get into the routine of prep to have food on hand. This will help on busy night.

👊Walk- weather is supposed to be great this fall so grab a buddy and start walking. Great way to move and destress.

👊Start, or get back into your strength training routine. You can't fill from an empty cup. Get in the routine this week so you will stick to it when the schedule gets busier instead of putting it off for another few months.

Interested in getting in shape this fall but the idea of a big group is not your jam?

Then Small Group Personal Training might be exactly what you are looking for.

We have an opening starting next week at 8am, 3 days a week for a small group (3-4 people) for SGPT. This means that you are still working on your own custom program to achieve your individual goals with a coach, just with a few other people. This also helps to off set the price tag that usually comes with Personal Training.

If this sounds like something that would Interest you then DM us to book a free consultation today and see if its a good fit.
