Our run at the Curl ON U20 provincials ended in an extra end loss in the semis. We are proud of our 4th place finish this week. Lots of positives to build on for next season. Started off day two at the Curl ON U21 provincial championships with a win on Wyatt’s birthday 🎂. We had home ice advantage this morning playing on the sheet. Next game is tomorrow at 10 am against Team Massey in the B side quarter finals. We are also really happy Curl ON and Matt Wilkinson started our first draw with a land acknowledgment and we look forward to seeing this tradition continue at future events. As we near the end of , it is important that our learning and allyship continues throughout the year. Learn about the rich history of the Black community in Canada. Take a course in the Black Studies department at your College or University. Read a book about anti-racism by a Black author like How to Be an Antiracist by . Invite members of the Black community to a try curling session. Most importantly, if we see or hear something racist or offensive, speak up!

Great team practice weekend. First, we had the opportunity to visit our home club, the Niagara Falls Curling Club. We acknowledge that the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation, and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy share territory land in present day Niagara.

Then, we practiced in the KW Granite Club. We acknowledge that Kitchener Waterloo is situated on the traditional land of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Neutral People.
