WVLBC was built in June 1931, the Men’s Club built a green in the area south of the original West Vancouver United Church. A clubhouse was added in 1934.
The club was later expanded in the 1980s, and the green was repaired and restored. Over the years, club membership and tournament participation has risen dramatically. Today the WVLBC membership has risen to over 200 members and hosts many local tournaments, including being the home of the Ladies BC week. The club supports many charities including an annual tournament that raises funds for the Lions Gate Hospital.

The West Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club continues to hit new heights and it is support like this, that is taking the Club to another level. A massive Thank You to Lynne Block for your continued support for the Club, The Sport and our West Van Community. It's amazing leaders like this that keep us on the right track! One of our biggest priorities is ensuring the Club remains inclusive and welcoming to everyone in the community. We are proud to share both the sport and our facility with people of all ages and backgrounds, helping create opportunities for connection, activity, health, and fitness within the community. More from our Club’s Open House event. It was a great action packed day introducing lawn bowling to the West Van community. Thanks to all our super volunteers and to our visitors who stopped in to meet us and try it!

On Saturday, our Club welcomed many friends and guests for an entertaining afternoon with barbecue lunch and to try lawn bowling at our Community Open House. We were delighted the greens were filled with non-stop activity throughout the event. We are thankful to the Lions Club and Westerleigh Parc for their amazing support and participation! Thank you to all for coming to the Club making it a fabulous, fun day!

The 2026 season is off and running!! A great day on and off the greens! Even special guests from England joining the fun! Thanks to everyone who came out and looking forward to a great season! Next Saturday May 16th the Community Open House - come on out as it’s open to everyone 1:00-4:00pm!

It was a great day filled with teamwork, and laughs.
