🍂 Autumn is always a high energy season with lots of change, but that feels especially true this year for us! Madelise, our intrepid Shore Manager of the last few years, is moving on to more full time work and we’re so sad to see her go. But in a stroke of luck, this change has come about when Sue just happens to be ready to step into the role! So here’s a huge thank you to Madelise 🫶 for all her support, hard work and steadiness behind the scenes… and a warm welcome to Sue joining the Sea to Sky team. Sue is a long time local racer (with SEVEN VanIsle 360s under her belt 🤯), and some of you may remember when she helped get our R2AK campaign out the door by delivering crew to the start line and our engine to its northern transpo. We never saw this particular plot twist coming, but we’re thrilled to have her on board now! Check out Sue’s bio on our Crew page for some hilarious sea tales and a glimpse of what she’s bringing on deck with us 🏴‍☠️

Happy birthday to us! Usually we do some glamour highlights of the year to celebrate… but this anniversary we’re stuck in the boat yard on a mega project for Pau Hana 😷 and about to head back to the Caribbean for similar boat yard adventures for Panacea 🫠, so this feels about right for now. It’s also been a big year for regrouping, sanding away the parts that aren’t serving us well anymore and doing the slow, unexciting prep work for our next phase of shiny, glossy adventures. Just like a full bottom job on a boat, it’s not how anyone really wants to spend their time, but it’s so essential for going fast and looking cool in the long term!! As with every year of survival as a small nautical business, we’re sending out a massive thank you to all our students, sailors and supporters 🙏🙏🙏 You are the grit on our sanding discs, the nap of our paint rollers (😅) and we couldn’t do any of this without you! Thank you. Stay tuned for some pretty awesome developments, and see you out on the water very soon 🙌
