The Pictou County Hike Club Fall Guided Hike Series is starting soon! Have you thought about joining in? Hear what Kelsey has to say about her experience hiking with us. 💗

“I would like to send a tremendous thank you to Melanie, Leighton, and Veronica for their continued hard work and dedication in making the Pictou County Hike Club what it is today. Having just completed my 2nd Pictou County Badge, primarily through their guided group hike series, I am constantly in awe of the community they are fostering here. These group hikes are bringing together people from all age groups and backgrounds with the common goals of safely enjoying nature, while feeling a sense of connection and community.” - Kelsey MacLennan

✨We would like to introduce Tyler MacLeod who has joined Westville Recreation as the new Shared MPAL (Municipal Physical Activity Leader) with the Town of Westville and the Town of Stellarton! You may have seen some of his work recently with the Acadia Park Community Challenge and wondered who is the new kid in town?!✨

A Message from Tyler:

Hello Westville,

My name is Tyler MacLeod and I am the new Active Living Coordinator for the Towns of Westville and Stellarton. I have just recently moved to Pictou County, but I am originally from Yarmouth. Last May I graduated from Acadia University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Community Development. I also have done recreation programming in a senior's retirement residence and completed a work placement with the Town of Kentville's recreation department.

I am extremely excited to help create opportunities for simple movement for the towns of Westville and Stellarton. If you have questions, concerns or want to contact me for any reason, please send an email to [email protected] or call me at (902) 759-2849.

Please join us and give Tyler a warm Westville welcome!
