MANTRA
“Right now, it’s like this” is an invitation to explore what is present. At the same time, it clearly reassures us that impermanence is hard at work. So even though the mind threatens me with the idea that “it’s going to be like this forever,” this phrase helps me call bu****it on that. YIN/YANG The Nook ( Brackende, Squamish)
· Wednesday at 5:30 pm
We will begin by exploring our Yang (hard style Asana practice, 30 min long Vinyasa ) and follow with Yin style ( softer practice for 60 min ) 🙌
"Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga; however, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues (which we are calling the yang tissues). Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.
Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine." (Yinsights)

How are you showing up in your life at the moment?
It's always a good reminder to be intentional about our behaviours towards others. Yoga is not just a series of physical practices but it also urges the practitioner to restrain in the following five areas:
Non-violence, Truthfulness, Non-Stealing, Continence and Greedlessness
Always choosing the course of action or words that are going to cause the least amount of harm, while being true to yourself. Restraining from using s*x appeal to get something or someone, what is your intention behind it? Do not steal from others, rather it be material, or emotional labour or their time. Everyone's life is as precious as yours so respect. Don't take more then you need: this could be material or energy, don't be greedy, eat just enough, go through your belongings, see what you can part with. Do you really need this much time and attention from a certain person in your life, could their attention be better used elsewhere?
