Here's an inspiring story of camper Livia's recent journey.

Firsrly, everyone who knows Livia from camp will agree that she's one of the kindest and happiest young ladies to ever grace us with her presence at Core.

Livia took some very bold steps, quit her job and is following her dreams.

It all started four years ago when Livia joined us for a week in March 2022, with about 10 days of snowboarding experience. Whistler was a big change from her Ontario mountains. We had a blast and she improved a ton.

In February 2023, Livia joined us for 2 more weeks (riding with coach Jordan) and absolutely crushed it. Her plan was starting to form.
A few months later, Livia reached out to me with the plan to join us in 2024 for 6 weeks and to take the CASI level 1 instructor course.
An amazing 6 weeks, which brought her to a whole new level, lots of new friends and she aced her instructor course!

Last fall, Livia was offered a job in the North Island of Japan as a snowboard instructor. She then made the very big decision to quit her job of 5 years as a software developer. She took the job. I'd like to think that our chat about this helped her decision.
Great snow, good food, lots of Core Camp friends visiting her, new experiences, and a very good decision to change up her life for a winter. We're so stoked for her.

Back in Canada, Livia is now planning to join us this winter for a few more weeks and to get her CASI level 2. Her plan is to eventually go back to Japan (or another snowy spot) for more snowboarding, instructing, and fun..!

Livia - we love your lust for life and for taking some big, unknown steps into something new. We can't wait to ride with you again this winter. 😊

Here's a great camper story:
Olive Pharr is from North Carolina, USA. She very recently joined us two years in a row in our Teen Snowboard Camp. 2023 and 2024. .henry.pharr wholeheartedly loves snowboarding, winter life and the whole winter resort lifestyle. The Core staff and I can 100% relate. While improving with us, Olive hoped we could help her towards her dream and goal of working and living in a resort. We did. (BTW, we absolutely love helping with this. There are many past campers now living in Whistler and resorts around the world - living their dreams).

During her most recent 3 weeks with us, we helped Olive to get her CASI level 1 snowboard instructor license. She was beyond stoked. Those of you who met Olive know her enthusiasm. Her parents (also cool cats) even visited for her last week in town.

Last week, Olive messaged me with excitement to let me know that she was just offered a snowboard instructor position at Park City Rsort in Utah..! I'm tearing up as i write this. She's beyond excited for this winter. She's following her dreams and going for it.

We're so happy for her and glad to be part of her journey.

P.S. Olive's southern accent is awesome. I wish I had an accent...

Core secret run #27. This hidden entrance gets us to one of the best powder in Whistler. It starts with some important words from your coach. Then it's a short, narrow, steep, adrenaline pumping chute to navigate through. Once through, a beautiful, fresh and wide powder bowl reveals itself to us. Then, pure bliss and fresh turns to the bottom. Hoots, big smiles and high fives. A quick look back up and on to the next heroic run..!

Fun runs like this are all over these mountians and there's something for everyone.

You won't find these types of runs on the trail map. However, we're stoked to bring you here and many spots like it this winter..!

LIFT LINE PRIORITY with us is ❤️. We don't wait in these lines. For example, this is Peak Chair. One of several alpine chairlifts here. It accesses the absolute best terrian in Whistler. The off-piste and powder runs off of this chair are vast. We know the spots.
On a powder day, this is isually the most popular chair. Lines can form.
We go right to the front of every chair lift here.
Skipping the lines is a huge bonus for us. More skiing and riding, no waiting.
