**We're Hiring! Join the Whistler Skating Club Coaching Team!**
The Whistler Skating Club is looking for a dedicated Skating Coach to join our team!
We're seeking a coach who is passionate about developing skaters of all ages and abilities while helping foster a fun, supportive, and inclusive club culture. Our programs include CanSkate, STARSkate, Competitive, Adult Skating, and off-ice training.
We're looking for someone who:
✨ Is in good standing with Skate Canada
✨ Holds a CanSkate Coach Certification (or higher)
✨ Enjoys working with youth and adults
✨ Thrives in a collaborative coaching environment
✨ Is committed to creating a positive and engaging learning experience
Position Details:
📍 Whistler, BC
🕒 Contract position
• Summer: 8–10 hours/week
• September–May: 4–10 hours/week
Compensation based on experience

The Whistler Skating Club (WSC) has officially been awarded the Skate Canada National Club Award for the British Columbia/Yukon section.
This accolade recognizes one skating club annually in each region across Canada that stands out for all-around excellence. It is given out not just for competitive success, but how well the organization is run, how it supports skaters of all ages and abilities and the community overall.
"The award is the reflection of our skaters' hard work and dedication, [coaches] Emily Nichols' and Katia Barton's many years of support, and [coach] Dianne Diamond’s experience and knowledge," said WSC president Ben Thomas in a press release. "But this award is mostly due to the tireless efforts of our program director, Morgan Wentworth. Morgan runs a truly wonderful club and is so deserving of this Skate Canada recognition. Whistler is very fortunate to have such a wonderful skating program available to all our kids and indeed all adults too.
"The reason we have won this award is that we offer quality programming at all levels, from Canskate to competitive and right up to adult programs. We also have one of the highest success rates in Skate Canada assessments and, in fact, have the highest per capita successful assessments in B.C. Winning this award is not just a nice mention, but is genuinely a big achievement and means that the Whistler Skating Club is running at a top-tier standard."
