Durham Shredders Cyclocross Series

Well… we dodged bad weather for ALMOST the whole series… but Mother Nature caught us with a little ice storm on our last night…
Had to cancel because it wasn’t safe to ride … or drive… but still super happy with how the series went and the progress that I saw from all the racers…

Sometimes you play hard … and sometimes you just gotta have some fun!!! One of my favourite days on a bike is the Dress Up Day… and the outfits were hilarious!! Thanks to everyone who came out on a chilly night to play on bikes… and a big Thanks to Shimano for sponsoring our evening!!!
This Wednesday is our LAST race 😢 but it will be extra exciting because it will be in the dark!! Same time and same place… but now that daylight savings has flipped the switch… it’s time to charge the lights and get ready for some fun!!!

A bit of rain and some warm temps are going to make for another awesome race day!!

Another great race at the !! Weather was perfect for CX… cool to start and then sweaty racing and then cool again…
Great to see the little battles inside the race that helps everyone improve…
Races the course in reverse direction this week… and I think it was harder!!!

Next week ill have another surprise for our racers… and then it will be our Halloween Costume Night before our final Night Ride Race… always a good time!!!

I sat out this weeks race… and regretted it!! Perfect conditions and a fiesty group made for an exciting time between the tape!!

Another race… another good time!! Made our way to the Trail Hub to pre-ride the course… and it was fun!!! Some good sandy corners and a killer uphill will make it a great test tomorrow!! The rain last night will definitely help…

Whose coming to race tomorrow?? We will be at the this week pre-riding the course. Registration opens at 5:00 and the race starts at 5:30. Weather looks great so come on out and join us for the fun… and be sure to grab a snack from the Handlebar Grill to refuel!!

It’s almost race time!!!
This Wednesday… September 20… is our first CX Series race of the year!! Super excited to host people on the New and Improved course… but I’ll warn you that its not easy!!!
Cmon out and challenge yourself on the Woodnewtons turns / climbs / run up / technical / barriers / single track… it’s a great mix!! And it doesn’t matter if you do 2 or 3 or 4 laps… everyone gets to enjoy some treats and draw prizes afterwards!!
Races start at 5:30 so registration opens at 5:00…
