We are thrilled to welcome Coach Ché Breckon to the Whitby Swimming family!

Coach Ché was raised in aquatics and has been coaching since High School, bringing a passion for connecting youth in smaller communities with the incredible sport of swimming. As a dedicated and dynamic Age Group Coach, leading in the Eastern Region of Swim Ontario for the last fifteen years, she has helped to create thriving clubs, develop excellence in programming, and contribute to world-class swimmer and coach development.  Her most recent thirteen seasons leading a military youth swim team is an experience and honour she holds dear to her heart. Coach Ché is ecstatic to be growing her coaching career with Whitby Swimming and is eager to meet and work alongside the swimmers, families, and coaches here.

The Whitby Swimming Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Baker as our new Head Coach, effective August 1, 2026.

Sean brings extensive competitive coaching experience and a proven record of developing athletes, mentoring coaches, and building successful swim programs. During his coaching career, teams under his leadership have earned multiple Ontario Swimming Championship (OSC) Top Club titles, including back-to-back championships. He is recognized for his athlete-centred coaching philosophy, technical expertise, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to building a positive, high-performance club culture.

We are excited to welcome Sean to Whitby Swimming and look forward to the leadership, experience, and passion he will bring to our club. Please join us in giving Sean a warm Whitby Swimming welcome.

Big congrats to our Whitby swimmers who competed at the Open Water Championships at Gull Lake in Gravenhurst! 🌊☀️. It was a beautiful 2 days filled with fantastic swims, relays, PBs, and great team spirit!

Our Future Stars meets have been an incredible highlight of the season, and this was the perfect way to wrap them up! A huge shoutout to our incredible volunteers, families, coaches, and swimmers for making two meets in one weekend a huge success!
