Yesterday’s Summer Solstice Recital was one of those rare days that reminds you why this work matters.

Not because of the costumes, the choreography, or even the performances themselves, although there was so much beauty on stage, but because of what existed between the moments. The encouragement backstage. The pride in a parent’s eyes. The friendships. The laughter. The sense of belonging.

At DSBCD, we are building a community where everyone belongs—where different ages, experiences, and perspectives come together through a shared love of dance.

From our youngest dancers taking their first steps across the stage to our advanced students performing with remarkable artistry and dedication, every piece contributed to something larger than itself. There was excellence. There was joy. There was connection.

Today, we are filled with gratitude.

To our students: thank you for your commitment, courage, and willingness to share your gifts with us.

To our families: thank you for the trust you place in us and for the countless ways you support your children and this community.

To our faculty and staff: thank you for the care, expertise, and generosity you bring to this work. Your impact reaches far beyond the studio walls.

And to everyone who joined us yesterday—thank you for helping create an atmosphere that felt warm, welcoming, and deeply meaningful.

The performances were beautiful, but what stays with us the most is the feeling in the room. A feeling of people coming together. A feeling of joy. A feeling of community.

For that, and for all of you, we are profoundly grateful. 💙

Summer is the perfect time to dance.

Join us every Tuesday in July for our Ballet & Acro Combo classes, where dancers will develop strong technical foundations while building confidence, coordination, flexibility, musicality, creativity, and strength.

Acro combines the artistry of dance with the athleticism of gymnastics. Dancers will work on age-appropriate skills in a fun, supportive environment while developing body awareness, balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength.
Classes are taught by experienced dance educators and are designed for both new and returning students.
